Mt. Hope, OH – August 15, 2003 - Wayne-Dalton has launched a new version of its internet based Door Selection Center. The site gives a fresh look that now shows actual homes of different styles to give viewers a better idea of how various doors and options will appear on their own homes. The previous version only showed a rendering of the side of a garage on which to try different looks.

“The use of home photos on this version of the Door Selection Center will give homeowners and builders a better way to visualize what door and options will be best for them”, said Dave Osso, marketing manager. “Most of our steel and carriage house wood doors are on there, including options for every color and window option available for each door model. It is also easier to navigate through each screen, which will help make the visit an enjoyable experience for the user.”

Another key feature of the new site is that the look is closely aligned with Wayne-Dalton’s recently released Door Selection Center software, available exclusively to their dealers. Osso noted, “Even though the Door Selection Center on the internet is a great improvement, those who use it can still only view stock photos in order to visualize how the door will look on their own home. To see what it looks like in reality, all they need to do is contact a Wayne-Dalton dealer who has the Door Selection Center software. The dealer can then scan a photo or take a digital shot of their home to let them see how the door will truly appear. It can even be done on a scanned frontal elevation rendering for those in the process of building. The Door Selection Center internet version is now very complimentary of the computer disk version, and that will help our dealers with their own sales presentation.”
