Mt. Hope, OH-August 8, 2003-Wayne-Dalton introduces a new way to envision garage doors with the Door Selection Center™ (DSC) software. This program allows dealers to help customers view their new Wayne-Dalton garage door on their house before it is actually installed.

The process is simple. The homeowner or salesperson takes a digital photo of the home, or scans a regular picture. The photo can then be opened in the DSC software to show how the new door will look on their home. The homeowner can experiment with a variety of options from different designs to lite options and colors.

Anyone who wants to imagine their doors in colors other than our standard offering has two options. The first is to click on any other item in the photo. The software will match that exact color to the door, so if someone wants to see what their garage would look like if the door matched the home’s shutters, they could do so. The second way is to pick from a paint color chart of Valispar’s 50 most popular exterior colors. These two methods of choosing different colors will further pull customers into the buying process when they realize the high impact their garage doors can have on the look of their home.

Builders likewise can see what their homes would look like before they are built with the help of a line drawing or frontal elevation. These can be scanned into a computer, and then have various product choices applied to find the best look. Or builders can simply send their customers to dealer’s showroom to pick out the exact door they want.
