The Benjamin MooreŽ site and ei software were highlighted on the Showcase section of Macromedia's web site. The Personal Color Viewer will also be the Experience of the Month in the July edition of The Edge, the Macromedia customer newsletter.
To be selected for the award, entrants must meet the following criteria, quoted from the Macromedia site, "The site should be distinctive. Visitors can select from a variety of interior and exterior images that can be "painted" in any Benjamin MooreŽ color, viewed and printed or archived online. This tool is ideal for beginning the color selection process, allowing consumers to view their colors on a virtual wall before any paint is actually applied.
Additionally, the Personal Color Viewer is available in an expanded, professional CD version that takes the process to the next level, providing the ability to upload digital images of individual rooms and exteriors. "Painting" these images from Benjamin Moore's vast array of colors takes as little as 5-10 minutes. The result: a printable, Benjamin Moore "painted" version of the substrate involved.
Both the CD and web based applications rely heavily on Flash to provide a great looking and easy to use interface. ei has combined Flash with other technologies to create robust applications that helps Benjamin MooreŽ sell paint - much more than just animations that promote the brand.
