ei software, Inc. Announces Release of creations product suite

Northborough, MA, January 23, 2002- ei software, Inc. today announced the release of the creations product suite. creations is a family of software products that utilize ei's proprietary imaging technology for rendering products and colors onto digital images supplied by the user.

creations currently has four modules, floor creations, wall creations, paint creations, and door creations. Modules to be released in the near future include siding creations and roof creations. Each of these modules has the ability to reproduce products in the correct perspective with shadow and highlight detail from the original image preserved. ei's trademark easy to use design makes the software appropriate for both professional trade people as well as the do it yourself market.

ei's primary market for these products is at the manufacturer level. Andy Jenks, President of ei software, says, "Within the next few years, no homeowner will initiate a home improvement project without visualizing the intended results first. Digital imaging is becoming mainstream at the consumer level. Manufacturers are starting to understand the huge value offered by tools that move people forward in the selection and sales process. Our new creations software is going to change the way these types of products are sold."

For example, floor creations allows the user to view any type of flooring project on a picture of their own room. The user simply opens a digital image in the software, (this image could come from a digital camera, a scanner, or a disk purchased from their film-based photo processor) selects the floor area that is to be covered, and selects from the library of products offered by the manufacturer. These products can include hardwood, laminate, tile, vinyl sheet, carpeting, stone and more. Once the user is satisfied with their selection, they can print out a color sample that contains all of the relevant product data. This sheet informs the retailer of the exact desires of the user.

creations eliminates the fear factor associated with trying new ideas or designs in the home. The user can experiment with radical paint colors for the dining room, vibrant wallpaper patterns for the master bedroom, or a new shade of laminate flooring for the kitchen, without worrying about the cost of changing if they do not like their choice. The user now has the opportunity to become completely comfortable with their decision before the product is purchased.
