PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Pittsburgh Paints has unveiled Visions at a Glance™, a CD-based software program that allows homeowners to "virtually" paint their entire home -- or a single room -- over and over again until they find the colors and combinations they like best.

The Visions at a Glance software program features state-of-the-art technology that gives homeowners, as well as painting contractors and dealers, the power to electronically apply paints to digital images of their own homes or to a pre-existing library of home interiors and exteriors.

The CD is easy to use for experienced computer users and beginners alike. Homeowners simply take a digital image of the room or exterior they want to paint and upload it to their computer monitor. Once the image is on the screen, The Visions at a Glance software allows the user to select up to seven different surface areas to paint, from large wall and siding surfaces to small, intricate areas like shutters, stair rails and window trim.

These "painted" images can then be edited, saved to a file or printed on a color printer so that homeowners can see how a room will look before a brush ever hits a wall.

Professional painters can use this software to create color presentations for their customers to improve and expedite the color selection process, saving them time and money, and increasing overall customer satisfaction.

All 1,890 colors in The Voice of Color Design Collection are included in the Visions at a Glance software program, with many color schemes put together by Pittsburgh Paints' own color stylists. Options include Whispers of White, Historic, Rugged tones, Elegant tones, and more.
