October 15, 2001 - ei software, Inc. Announces Release of Raynor VISTA Visualization Software

Northboro, MA, October 15, 2001- ei software, Inc. today announced the release of Raynor VISTA, the first photo-realistic visualization software package designed specifically for the garage door industry. VISTA was designed and developed by ei software under contract from the Raynor Garage Door Company of Dixon, IL. The VISTA software allows Raynor sales representatives and distributors to image their entire line of residential garage doors and windows on actual photographs of their client's home.

ei software's Door Visualizer technology is the first in the industry to utilize photo-realistic imaging techniques on any original image. Doors can be imaged on a photograph taken by the sales person, or supplied by the customer. Images can be from a digital camera, CD-Rom, or a desktop scanner. Once the photograph is in the computer, ei's software allows any number of doors to be placed over the original photograph.

William Dover, owner of Dover and Company, Flint Michigan, a Raynor distributor, said, "My salesman has used the VISTA software with two customers and has ended up selling both doors. It is really useful when you can show the customer the options they want on their own house. We can't wait to let people know we can provide this service. I'm looking forward to advertising it as a means to drum up sales."

Users of the software can interactively select and change the door product line, panel style, window style, color, and placement. Doors can be placed in correct perspective to the original photograph. Doors can be painted factory specific colors, or they can be painted any color that exists in the photograph. This allows clients to see what their doors will look like if painted an existing siding or trim color. ei has even created an interactive feature that allows for the placement of digital images of exterior lift handles that comply with the DASMA 116-2000 Standard for Section Interfaces on Residential Sectional Garage Doors.

All of these unique tools allow the sales professional to display all possible options to the client. Clients receive the benefit of seeing different designs placed on a picture of their home. When a preferred style is selected, the image can be printed in a pleasing before and after format. Images can also be saved for later use, placed on a web site, or emailed to clients.
