When I install a new door
on an image, dark lines or areas from the original are visible on
the new door. What is this and how do I fix it? |
 |
The Clopay DIS software retains
shadow details to make the new doors look realistic. Unfortunately
the software sometimes bleeds through more shadows than you would
like. The dark areas on the new door are shadows from the original
image. To remove the shadows select the Erase Shadow tool from the
toolbar. Set the brush size to meet your needs and erase the unwanted
dark areas from the door.

Where do I find the serial
number for my copy of Clopay DIS? |
 |
The serial number is printed
on the back of the CD jewel case. You will need the serial number
the first time you run Clopay DIS. You will also need the serial number
when you call technical support. To find the serial number once you
have installed and run Clopay DIS, select Help - About Clopay DIS.
The screen displays the serial number.

 |
Clopay DIS cannot open my
image file. Why? |
 |
Clopay DIS currently supports
JPEG, TIFF, and bitmap files. If your image file is not in one of
these formats, you will not be able to open the file using Clopay
DIS. You can, however, convert your file into a format that Clopay
DIS supports.

When I install a garage door
it sometimes looks "fuzzy", why? |
 |
When a garage door is place
on your image it is sized to fit your image. If your image is low
resolution, the garage door is scaled down. This scaling can sometimes
result in an unclear looking image. The Door Close Up View
under the View menu always shows a detailed view of the door
without any scaling.

Are digital pictures of houses
supplied with Clopay DIS? |
 |
Yes. There are digital images
in the Sample Garages folder. These are houses you can use to practice
installing doors.
|
 |
Why is the picture upside
down in the Clopay DIS window? |
 |
Some images are scanned upside
down and then saved to disk that way. If an image is not correctly
oriented on the screen, use the Rotate Image command to rotate the
image clockwise in 90º increments. Continue until your image is upright.

 |
Can I open a picture of a
house that I installed doors on with Clopay DIS in other software
applications? |
 |
Yes. The Export commands let
you save houses in the common JPEG format for use in other applications.

 |
Will my computer work with
Clopay DIS? |
 |
If your computer can run Windows,
it can run Clopay DIS. Performance improves with more RAM, increased
processor speed, and faster and larger hard drives. It is also recommended
that the computer support 24-bit color. Check out the system requirements
for more details. |
